Roadmap

The future that SOSAC is working towards is summarized here in the Roadmap. In it is showcased what SOSAC already has achieved and what SOSAC envisions the next steps to be. The roadmap is created with an eye toward addressing the challenges.

Memorandum of association

Founding of SOSAC

The beginning of the SOSAC foundation. With the intention of alleviating the problems caused by the harsh climate, shortage of crops and livestock, lack of (access to) health care and negligible education.

Letter of Intent

Letter of intent local government

SOSAC is proud of its commitment to and involvement in local communities and local democratic governance. The efforts of our ongoing projects have been warmly welcomed by local communities. The local government’s letter of intent paves the way for smooth cooperation and successful projects.

Letter of Cooperation

Accountability and self-sustainability

When beginning a commitment to a project, SOSAC will make the sustainment of a project by the locals after project completion a requirement. In addition, ensuring the viability of a project will be included when creating a project budget. This will be established with the stakeholders. SOSAC has a bankaccount and a team in both the Netherlands and Somalia. Through a financial dashboard the financial flows will be monitored and through quality and work inspections the progress of the contractors and locals will be monitored, ensuring financial transparency.

4 Projects developed

Developing one project per challenge

Sosac is committed to addressing the challenges of climate, food and agriculture, health and lastly education. We believe that addressing each challenge with one project is a good start. This starts with developing a unique project with care, taking into account: tranparance, cooperation with local community, self-sufficiency and scalability to nearby regions.

Scaling-up the projects

Scaling-up projects to nearby regions

When SOSAC has reached succes and near-completion of the developed projects, scaling them up and expanding them to nearby regions is in order. It is intended that SOSAC stimulates the local inhabitants in this process and that the expansion is mainly done by the locals themselves. Achieving this means that the gears of crisisresolving are in place and that locals will help themselve.
